“Sisters” selected by Henry Horenstein for “Family Dynamics” exhibition

A few months back I began to work on my new portfolio. Although it is still work in progress, one of the images titled “Sisters” was selected by juror Henry Horenstein, well known and respected fine-art photographer and educator, for a group exhibition “Family Dynamics” at The Kiernan Gallery in Lexington, Virginia. I am very honored to be a part of this exhibit.

In his Juror’s Statement, Henry Horenstein writes, “In choosing the winners for the physical and online gallery, I tried to select single images from each photographer, as there were so many worthy entries. But for the physical gallery, I tried to choose photographers whose body of work (as entered) showed consistency and clear direction. Some other photographers had some great images, but one didn’t necessarily link to another or the chosen one was so much stronger than the rest of their entered work.”

The show will run from February 6 to March 4, 2012. So if you are in the area, make sure to stop by…:)
